14 Apr Frequently Asked Questions from Candidates
Q: Are Proximity’s rates negotiable?
A: It depends on the facility you decide to work for. Some medical facilities have set rates that agencies must adhere to. This is to create fairness for all staff. Other medical facilities, however, are more flexible in this sense. A Proximity consultant will inform you about the medical facilities that are flexible and those that are not. However, medical facilities with pre-determined rates are more inclined to offer consistent shifts.
Q: Why do I need to get my ID and proof of address verified at the Post Office?
A: Proximity Healthcare prefers that all candidates verify their documents at the Post Office. This generates a faster compliance process and it also saves time and money for our candidates. The Home Office has allowed identification documents, proof of address documents, and certain qualification documents to be verified by local Post Offices following the recent lockdown.
Q: Does Proximity Healthcare provide sponsorships?
A: Currently we do not. However, we are working on providing sponsorships in the future. Please keep an eye on this page for updates on this as well as our latest blogs.
Q: Does Proximity Healthcare help with transportation?
A: This depends on the medical facility’s location and the amount of notice given for the upcoming shift.
Q: Does Proximity Healthcare pay LTD/UMBRELLA company?
A: It depends on the medical facility that you work for. Some facilities fall inside of IR35 due to a multitude of reasons as well as their preference and the size of the company, while others don’t for this same reason.
Q: How can I guarantee consistent shifts for myself?
A: The best way to ensure this is to make sure you help us with your compliance documents as quickly as possible. By being receptive, helpful, and understanding during the process, your profile becomes compliant faster. The faster your profile becomes compliant, the faster you can take advantage of shifts.
